We have ambitious targets in our Net Zero and Climate Change Policy, such as fossil fuel-free Transport construction and maintenance by 2040 and Net Zero in Transport's annual embodied emissions by 2045. But effective change won’t happen unless Government and industry work together to evolve the way we procure and embed sustainability into our projects. This page outlines our approach to decarbonising our infrastructure pipeline and how we are working to build circularity in our sector.

National Highways UK partnership
We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Highways to accelerate our net zero journey through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
